Dragstead Sterling STROMBERGSHYTTAN Original Crystal Glass
Sterling silver and glass Mid-Century modern vase by famed Danish silversmith. Glass is manufactured by Strombergshyttan with solid Sterling Silver Grape garland handles. The swing-mounted handles can be removed for polishing. The characteristic light blue Swedish glass walls are 1 cm thick at the top, it's that thickness that gives off the beautiful color.
Ovoid well with tapering sides, curved corners and flap rim. All handcrafted with the finest craftsmanship by Gerta Stromberg and Einer Dragsted. Design period from 1920 to 1949. Production period from 1930 to 1939.Excellent condition with no noticeable chips or scratches. Practically, it makes a beautiful container for sugar packets. Approximate size: 3 inches tall x 3 1/8 inches wide by 2 7/8 deep. With sterling grape handles it is: 4 inches wide.
