This sterling silver frame by itself weighs a heavy 246 grams (7.909 Troy ounces) and can be removed from the wood backing and has an overall weight of just over 2 pounds. Made by the well known metal picture frame company Vila in Mexico, hallmark is found at the base of the frame. This frame has been engraved with the words " Sakkara & Barry" on top and "August 7th 2004" on the bottom. The engraving can be lightly sanded and removed to show the sterling frame as it originally was produced. Has a nice display size of 10 3/8" X 8 3/8" outside dimensions and will fit a photo size of 8" X 6".The Mahogany backing is still in good shape and easily compliments any style room it is placed in.
